One of the best ways to freshen up your house for spring is to, don’t cringe, reorganize your closet. It’s not glamourous, but twice a year when the season changes, I put away my heavier woolens and drab colors to make way for my spring attire. It’s a bit of work but, I promise, you will feel so much better about your house, all without even redecorating! Here are a few guidelines to make the plunge.
- Identify the items that you don’t wear until the leaves begin to turn, wash them and store neatly somewhere.
- Go through your warm weather duds to be sure all are in good condition and that you still want to wear them.
- Organize your pieces in your closet by type, color and sleeve lengths. I know this sounds obsessive, but you will be able to find your items with more ease.
- Now you’ll easily see what new items you may want to acquire to start the season off right. Enjoy the process and happy spring!!!
